The First World War Poetry Digital Archive, a website created at Oxford University, presents digitized versions of poems by British authors written during the First World War. The group of writers commonly called The War Poets is well represented.
In 2008 the team of this website invited the public to send items form their personal collections to create a new section with the title The Great War Archive. This resulted in additional collections of photographs, films and other materials, numbering in total some 5,600 items which can be searched in an online database. Its success prompted the European crowdsourcing project Europeana 1914-1918.
